We'll sit down via Zoom (or your preferred virtual room) and get started coding in p5.js. I'll assess where you are as a programmer (total beginners encouraged!) and make begin to craft a custom curriculum for you. We'll make arcade-style games like 2D platformers, infinite runners, grid-based games, classic games (Snake, anyone?), and simulations. Have an idea for a game? Let's work it out and get started!

Do I need to know anything about computer science or math before buying?
Short answer: No! I am very experienced at teaching kids ages 7-17 computer science through a math lens. I will assess your strengths, your weaknesses, and your interests and craft a custom curriculum just for you!
What will I learn?
What you learn depends on where you are in your learning journey. If you're brand new we'll start with variables and if statements, if you know those we'll go over functions, then loops and arrays, etc. Each session we have you'll be walking away with a new or reinforced concept.
How do the sessions work?
Each session will be 1 hour long, we'll work out a schedule that works for both of us upon purchase. I am typically available on Thursdays - Sundays, Monday - Wednesday limited availability PST.
If I buy multiple hours can I have longer sessions?
Yes, however each session is capped at 2 hours as that's what my availability allows. If you but 3 hours we can have 3 separate 1 hour sessions or one 2 hour session and one 1 hour session.
