Hi, I'm Robert Sword, a composer of music for film, theatre and video games. Starting out as a classically trained pianist, I have studied orchestration up to degree level and since university have written music for a variety of films, documentaries and video games. In addition to a variety of independent filmmakers and game developers, previous commercial clients include Sport Ireland, Campagna Telethon, Science Museum and the North Face.

Genre-wise, whether working with my long term collaborator Giles Thomas or composing solo, I am fairly flexible but I have a particular love of composing anything orchestral or ambient. My game composer influences include Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana), Koji Kondo (Zelda, Mario etc) and David Wise (Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2). I aim to make the world of your game unique and atmospheric and will use strong melodic themes, imaginative production and unexpected harmonic progressions to achieve this.
