Can you fix it if I only send the error message?
Sometimes, but not reliably. A stack trace tells me where it broke, not why. Send the relevant code too and you'll get a real fix instead of a guess.
What Java versions do you work with?
Java 8 through 25, including apps mid-migration between them.
