As a self-taught Unity developer, I independently conceptualized, designed, and developed a fully functional 3D running game from scratch. This personal project allowed me to deeply explore Unity’s ecosystem, physics engine, and C# scripting. Key Achievements & Workflow: Programmed core gameplay mechanics, including player movement, obstacle spawning logic, and score tracking systems using C#. Designed the user interface (UI), menus, and integrated asset packages to create a cohesive visual experience. Conducted extensive playtesting and bug fixing to ensure smooth gameplay loop and performance optimization. Challenges & Problem Solving: One of the biggest challenges I faced was managing object pooling for endless obstacle generation, which initially caused performance lags. To tackle this, I researched and implemented an efficient object reuse system instead of continuously destroying and instantiating game objects. This drastically reduced memory usage and ensured a seamless, lag-free experience. This project proven my ability to independently troubleshoot technical bugs, manage a full development lifecycle, and self-source solutions through documentation and community forums.
