What is SimpleLogin and how does it work?
SimpleLogin is an open-source email alias platform that lets you create multiple email aliases to protect your real email address. Emails sent to an alias are automatically forwarded to your main inbox.
Do I need a VPS server before ordering?
Yes. You need a VPS with SSH access. Recommended specs are 1–2 vCPU, 2–4 GB RAM, and 30–50 GB SSD running Ubuntu 22.04 or newer.
Do I need a domain name?
Yes. A domain is required to create aliases such as alias@yourdomain.com. You must have access to your domain DNS settings to configure the required records.
Do I need an SMTP provider?
Yes. SimpleLogin requires an SMTP service to send outgoing emails. Common options include services from Mailgun, Amazon Web Services (SES), or SendGrid.
Will emails go to spam?
I configure important DNS records such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to improve deliverability and reduce the chance of emails being marked as spam.
Do you provide the VPS or domain?
No. The buyer must provide the VPS server, domain name, and DNS access. I handle the installation and configuration on your server.
Will I have full control of the system?
