What do I need to provide to get started?
Please provide hand sketches, images, or PDFs with clear basic dimensions, along with details about the intended manufacturing process (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, or 3D printing).
Which software do you use and what file formats will I receive?
I use industry-standard parametric CAD software (SolidWorks / Siemens NX). You will receive neutral STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), or STL files, along with the native CAD file if included in your package.
Will the 3D STEP file be ready for actual manufacturing?
Yes. I design with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles in mind, ensuring proper wall thickness, draft angles, and tolerances required for plastic injection, machining, or sheet metal fabrication.
Do you provide 2D technical drawings for my manufacturer?
Yes. Detailed 2D technical drawings (PDF/DWG) with dimensions and tolerances are included in the Standard and Premium packages, or can be added as an extra to the Basic package.
What does a revision include?
Revisions include minor dimensional adjustments, tolerance tweaks, or feature corrections based on your original sketch. Completely changing the initial design concept or adding new parts requires a custom offer.
Is my product design and intellectual property safe with you?
Absolutely. All project details, sketches, and files are kept strictly confidential. I am happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) if required.
What if my product has multiple parts or complex mechanisms?
Please send me a message before ordering! I will evaluate your sketches and send you a custom offer tailored to the exact number of parts and complexity of your assembly.
