Skills and knowledge: - Over half a decade work experience in the construction industry, specifically doing detailed design for a variety of projects using Civil 3D and other accompanying software. - Started as an apprentice technician in September 2021, working my way to a promotion as a Technician in the Infrastructure team in early 2023. Now I am working as a Civil Engineer. - Accumulated vast amounts of skills and knowledge in Civil 3D, AutoCad and Microdrainage and Causeway Flow. - Experienced in modelling, designing and visually presenting the following: - Surface Water, Foul Water and special case drainage networks in harmony with project constraints and plot/ highway levels designs, to private and adoptable standards UK. - Plot, externals and highway levels designs using Civil 3D, done around project related constraints and requirements. - Cut/ Fill analysis on sites to achieve earthworks material balance and/ or costings of material quantities for importing/ exporting where required. - Highways geometry and surface levels design using Civil 3D corridor design tools, including signage design, General Arrangement plans and Lining & Kerbing drawings to adoptable or private standards/ project requirements. - Worked closely with geo-environmental teams to produce site investigation plans and other associated plans, as well as discussions for earthworks and ground improvement. Other experience and personal qualities: Experienced in producing and presenting drawings, to maintain company prestige and boost client appeal. - Good industry knowledge and understanding of typical construction design and building process (BIM) and how this improves engineering work quality. - Experience working in a team with junior members of staff. This has given me lots of experience with teaching people new to Civil 3D or those wanting to build on their workflows and become more of an expert in the software.
