If you're looking for a deep dive into the structure of your plot, characters, pacing, and more, I'm the editor you need! With more than 5 years of specializing in editing and beta reading young adult and middle grade manuscripts, I have the professional skills to take your first or second draft to the next level to prepare it for literary agents or self-publishing.
My developmental editing package includes:
- an in-depth editorial letter detailing the plot, characters, voice/style, pacing, POV, and setting
- detailed notes on what to improve and how to improve it
- in-line comments on the manuscript for editorial feedback and genuine reader responses
I valued my time as a YA and MG reader with a literary agency and focused on young adult literature for my creative writing degree. I also love hearing from my clients when their manuscript is picked up or published!

Is English your native language?
Yes! I was born and raised in Texas, USA.
What experiences do you have with book editing?
I learned the art of editing while working toward my B.A. in Creative Writing. I also line edited and copyedited all of my self-published titles. Since 2022, I've worked on a dozen manuscripts for copyediting and more than 100 for extensive beta reading.
Which sub-genres of Young Adult will you edit?
I will only read the following sub-genres of YA: contemporary/coming-of-age, fantasy, mystery, paranormal, historical, LGBTQ+, political or dystopian scifi, and retellings
Does this include editing for punctuation or syntax?
No; my notes will only look at the big picture for plot, characters, and the structure of story. If you believe your work is ready for a line edit, you can add a gig extra with your order. If you are looking for grammar and punctuation, consider booking my copyediting service.
What are your trigger warnings?
I will not read any manuscript that includes child abuse, animal abuse, or r*pe on the page. If your story alludes to any of these in any way, send me a message BEFORE placing an order to ensure I am comfortable reading your work.
