Dog Leash Tech Pack Designer
Apr 2026 - Present • 1 mo
For this project, I worked with a client who wanted to create a durable and functional dog leash collection but needed help organizing their ideas into a production-ready format. I began by identifying the different leash variations the client wanted, including standard walking leashes and reinforced training leashes. I then created technical sketches illustrating the full length of the leash, handle design, stitching details, and metal clip attachment. I developed a detailed measurement system, specifying leash lengths, widths, and handle dimensions to ensure consistency in production. Material selection was also a key part of the process, where I recommended strong webbing materials and high-quality metal clips for safety and longevity. To ensure clarity, I included construction notes outlining stitching patterns, reinforcement at stress points (such as the handle and clip connection), and finishing details to improve durability. Outcome & Achievements Helped the client launch a leash product with strong durability and user-friendly design Reduced production mistakes by clearly defining stress points and reinforcement areas Delivered a tech pack that allowed manufacturers to execute the design without confusion Improved product quality through well-structured material and construction guidance Provided a scalable design system for future leash variations
Dog Vest & Apparel Tech Pack Designer
Apr 2026 - Apr 2026 • 0 mos
For this project, I assisted a startup looking to create a simple but functional dog vest. The client had a design idea but needed help turning it into a technical document suitable for production. I began by designing flat sketches that showed how the vest would fit on the dog, including openings, closures, and adjustment areas. I paid close attention to comfort and movement, ensuring the design would not restrict the pet. I created a detailed size chart covering multiple dog sizes and included measurement points such as chest, neck, and body length. I also added fabric recommendations and construction notes, focusing on lightweight and breathable materials. The tech pack was structured in a clean and simple way so that even a first-time manufacturer could understand it easily. Outcome & Achievements Helped the client create a vest that is comfortable and easy for pets to wear Provided clear sizing that improved fit accuracy during production Reduced confusion for manufacturers with simple and organized documentation Delivered a tech pack that supported smooth sampling and adjustments Enabled the client to launch a functional and beginner-friendly product line
Dog Harness Tech Pack Designer
Mar 2026 - Apr 2026 • 1 mo
On this project, I worked with a startup pet brand that approached me with a rough concept of a no-pull dog harness but had no technical documentation to present to manufacturers. The client’s main challenge was translating their idea into a structured format that a factory could clearly understand without repeated corrections. I began by studying the reference images and understanding the intended function of the harness, particularly focusing on comfort, control, and adjustability. From there, I developed detailed flat sketches showing the front, back, and side views, carefully indicating strap placements, buckle positions, and D-ring attachments. I then created a comprehensive measurement chart covering multiple dog sizes (small to extra-large), ensuring proportional scaling across all parts of the harness. Material recommendations were also included, such as breathable mesh for padding, strong nylon webbing for straps, and durable metal hardware for leash attachment. To complete the tech pack, I added construction notes explaining stitching methods, reinforcement areas, and assembly instructions so the manufacturer could execute the design accurately without confusion. Outcome & Achievements The client was able to move directly into sampling with minimal revisions, saving both time and cost The manufacturer clearly understood the design, reducing communication back-and-forth The harness prototype matched the original concept closely due to well-detailed specifications Helped the brand establish a scalable sizing system, making future production easier Delivered a clean, factory-ready tech pack that improved overall production efficiency
