Understanding of Tata Motors Limited Defence Business and the Suppliers Quality process of PRR closure for TATA LPTA 2038 MHC vehicle for Indian Army. The whole project was divided into 3 subtopics which are briefed below: 1. Overview of the TML Defence Business which includes the project study of the cost reduction techniques applied for achieving a overall 14% profit and scheduled delivery of (1239)TATA LPTA 2038 MHC Vehicle for Indian Army. 2. Suppliers Quality process of PRR(Problem Resolution Report) closure for the issues which were encountered in the Cross Car Beam and the Gas Pedal supplied by the ProtoD Engineering. Proper steps were taken to tackle down the problem which includes the Root Cause Analysis of the issue and development of 8D report for permanent corrective action(PCA). 3. A thorough study of the important automobile components like BS4 compliant emission system - EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) & SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction), innovations done in the BS4 vehicles, Turbochargers, Antilocking Braking System, Fuel Injection System with a live demonstration was carried out.
