I worked on the development of functional consumer and mechanical products from early concept through prototype and manufacturing-ready CAD. My responsibilities included product design, mechanical engineering, SolidWorks and Fusion 360 modeling, assembly development, tolerance planning, DFM review and technical documentation. I created CNC-machined components, functional 3D-printable prototypes, wearable product housings, electronics enclosures and consumer products requiring accurate fit and practical manufacturing. My work involved converting sketches, reference products and engineering requirements into editable parametric models, STEP files, STL files and detailed technical drawings. I also reviewed wall thickness, fastening methods, clearances, assembly sequence, GD&T and production constraints before release. A major part of my role was solving real product-development problems including poor fit, weak geometry, difficult assembly and excessive manufacturing complexity. I supported prototype revisions and design improvements so products could move more confidently from concept into machining, additive manufacturing or production.

I specialized in mechanical CAD development for CNC-machined parts, assemblies, prototypes and production components. My work included creating precise SolidWorks models, engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, manufacturing tolerances, STEP files and assembly documentation for suppliers and machine shops. Projects ranged from custom brackets and structural components to mechanical housings, adapters, mounting systems and complex product assemblies. I regularly worked from sketches, measurements, concept models and existing engineering data, converting them into accurate parametric CAD that could be manufactured reliably. I used SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor and other CAD tools to build parts, assemblies and technical drawings while considering machining access, tool clearance, fastening, material thickness, tolerances and assembly sequence. I also reviewed designs for unnecessary complexity and helped simplify geometry where possible. My goal was always to reduce production issues before manufacturing began by delivering clear, editable CAD and drawings that engineers, prototype shops and manufacturers could use confidently.
