Explain Commercial Rights to me.
In short, Commercial Rights are any usage cases beyond strictly personal use, that do not fall under Broadcast Rights. This includes YouTube, social media, distribution on an app, or any redistribution of the finished audio that is NOT a paid promotion or advertisement (i.e. Broadcast Rights).
Explain Broadcast Rights to me.
Broadcast Rights include all use cases in which you are paying for the distribution of the audio in a commercial, non-personal capacity. This includes all advertising purposes, usage on radio, television, or paid distribution on the internet. You may need this extra, Commercial Rights, or both.
What is, and isn't, a revision?
A revision is a change in the script, or the artistic direction, requiring a change in the recording. It is not a correction - if I've read something wrong, I'll correct it for free. Each revision is limited to 40 words. You will need to purchase extra revisions if your script change is longer.
How quickly can you deliver my audio?
Most projects can be recorded and delivered within 24 hours. If you select the gig's priority delivery extra, I can deliver more in that period. I don't guarantee anything faster than 24 hours, but if you're lucky, you might get just that!
How do I know if I need Timed Audio Sync?
If you have specific timing directions, or a specific timeframe, that you need the audio to adhere to, you will need Timed Audio Sync. If you don't, and you're content to trust my judgement for the timing of your script, then you don't need Timed Audio Sync.
Can you mix the vocal track with music for me?
Yes, absolutely. If you're providing the music track, I'll do it free of charge with the gig. If you need me to find you music, then you'll need to add the gig extra for it, but if that's the case I'll mix it with the vocal as part of that extra. All the music I use is royalty free.
Explain your Script Proofreading extra.
I will make small changes to the given script, so that it flows naturally and makes sense when spoken in the recording. These changes will be as unobtrusive and small as I can make them, so that I preserve as much of your script as possible. Please note, though, that I am NOT a copyeditor.
Explain your Split Files extra.
I will split the voice over you've ordered into multiple separate files, which is usually for applications like IVR, or audiobooks, where each chapter or section needs to be a different file. Files will be labeled and organized appropriately, and I will send you a folder with all of them.
