Over deze dienst

Authors spend countless hours immersed in their fictional universes. Their passion and dedication give them a thorough understanding of their characters, plots, and settings, which is equally exciting and dangerous. In the drafting daze, many writers accidentally leave out vital information. My job as your beta reader/developmental editor is to identify those plot holes and (depending on the package) show you a few methods to fix them.


In each editorial assessment, I tell you:

  • Whether your plot, premise, and character motivation make sense
  • If your diction, tone, and authorial voice match the story
  • If your pacing needs adjustment
  • What I think your prose is trying to accomplish (because your intentions and what your readers actually get from the text can, unfortunately, be two very different things)
  • The questions that I had while reading your work
