Ik maak statische historische en narratieve kaarten, zoals die worden gebruikt in boeken, documentaires, artikelen of tentoonstellingen om te laten zien hoe een plaats, gebeurtenis of proces zich in de loop van de tijd heeft ontwikkeld.


Het werk wordt gedaan in QGIS met aandacht voor de keuze van projectie, periodetrouw symbologie en een lay-out die duidelijk leesbaar is op printformaat.


Voorbeeld: een kaart van de spoorweguitbreiding in Japan tijdens de Meiji-periode, gemaakt met een Lambert Conformal Conic projectie en regelsymbologie die de bouw per periode toont, met gebruik van historische landministerie- en Harvard CGA-gegevens.


Wat ik van jou nodig heb: de historische gebeurtenis of het proces, de tijdsperiode en eventuele brongegevens of referenties die je al hebt. Ik kan ook openbare historische datasets zoeken als die niet bestaan.

Oplevering: printklare PDF en hoge-resolutie PNG, met een legenda en periodesleutel. Bronvermeldingen inbegrepen.
