Do you need access to my website or server?
No. The assessment is conducted externally against your publicly-facing website — exactly as an attacker would approach it. I don't need admin access, FTP credentials or anything similar.
How does domain ownership verification work?
Before scanning I ask you to add a verification record to your domain's DNS settings, or upload a simple file to your website. This confirms you own the domain and authorise the scan. I'll guide you through the process step by step — it takes around 5 minutes and requires no technical knowledge
Will the scan affect my website's performance or uptime?
The scan is designed to be non-destructive and will not take your website offline. You may see a small increase in traffic in your server logs during the scan window, but normal visitors will not notice any difference.
My website is hosted on Shopify / Wix / Squarespace — can you still scan it?
Yes. The assessment works against any publicly accessible website regardless of the platform it is built on. Some findings may relate to platform-level configuration rather than things you can directly change — I'll make that clear in the report where relevant.
What happens to my scan data after delivery?
All scan data, output files and your PDF report are stored securely on my systems and permanently deleted within 30 days of delivery. I do not share your data with any third parties.
How will I receive my report?
Your PDF report will be delivered via a secure Google Drive or Dropbox link within 48 hours of ownership verification. The link expires after 7 days. All scan data is handled confidentially and deleted within 30 days of delivery.
