Hey there. Having programmed a few visual novel games and working on one for a Steam release, I'm offering my services to you to make you your own visual novel! A very common Japanese-styled game, this game form let's the player read along with a story, providing visual elements and usually things like music to go along with the story. The most common feature of these games is to give multiple-choices that branch out, affecting the story's outcome depending on the choices made.
If you don't have anything down and need assets for the game, I'll be glad to provide custom-tailored assets for your use in the game, too! From story, artwork, royalty-free music, I have the network and ability to make your game come to fruition.
The final product is PC compatible, with some cross-compatibility between Linux and Mac. The final distributable can also be put in a way that it is possible to work on an app store like iTunes (this requires work from someone else, but can be done). You own commercial rights to this work and can distribute it to your leisure.
This gig is NOT for sexual-themed productions as often associated with the genre. Any gig asking for this will be declined. Thank you.

I'm not ready to make my game yet, can you please start collecting my assets for free while I put it together?
No. This has already happened a few times, and 100% people have bailed. Any acceptance of your game assets is a commitment to work, and will require you to start a gig as a downpayment/work guarantee.
Isn't 10,000 words a bit long for a visual novel?
Not at all. In fact, that's quite short. Most visual novels run upwards from 20,000 words and up. This is because of all the multiple branches a story can take.
Can this be converted to use in the iTunes app store?
It can, yes. It's not covered by my standard extras or my skillsets, but I'm sure you can find someone who does this.
Can I get an anime-style sprite rather than your Western-styled one?
Yes, you can! It may cost a little more as I find someone who does that type of art, so it'll be a custom-order type deal. Drop a message and let's see what we can work out.
Do you program these games in any other language?
Not at this time. Python is the coding language they are written in.
No no no, I mean foreign languages! I want the VN in a different language!
I can do this, but I'll need both and English translation and the original piece. You'll need to translate this yourself or have it ready somehow; I don't provide translation.
Do you do complex visual novels like dating simulators?
Not at this time, this gig is for simple visual novels that take less than a few weeks to program. Those type of games I'm able to do but take a lot longer than a month. If you're still interested and don't mind waiting that long, send a message.
I want voice acting in my visual novel!
I don't offer the service to record lines for you, but if you have your own lines already recorded by another Fiverr gig, I'll put them in for you!
