How long before my site is taking real bookings?
Four to ten days depending on package, counted from when you send room details and access. The slow part is usually waiting on photos and rates, not the build. Send those on day one and delivery holds.
What happens if a guest books a room I already sold on Booking.com?
That is exactly what channel sync prevents. Without it you are managing calendars by hand and double bookings are a matter of time. If you sell through OTAs at all, treat sync as essential rather than an upgrade.
My hosting is cheap shared hosting. Is that a problem?
Sometimes. Booking sites run live availability queries that basic shared plans handle badly once you pass a few room types. I check your hosting before starting and tell you if it needs upgrading, rather than building on something that will crawl in high season.
Do I need to know WordPress to run this afterwards?
No. Closing dates, changing rates and adding photos are done from a simple calendar screen.
Can I take bookings in one currency and get paid in another?
