This is a work-study capstone I am currently part of, along with a team of 12 of my peers. My job as research assistant is to manage data collection, read and organize sources (articles, peer-reviewed journals, etc.), create surveys and record responses to said surveys for the presentation of our capstone's findings at the end of the semester (May 2026). Through this I am learning more about research analysis, data organization, and surveys and interview procedure.

As part of an Internship, I worked part-time at the Office of Historical Preservation at San Antonio (OHPSA). Through this internship I learned a lot about Excel and honed my skill for attention to detail. My task was to take a census of vacant buildings in San Antonio and record every crime/misdemeanor that occurred within a .5 mile radius. This was tedious work and took an immense amount of time, a task which took much patience, a keen eye for numbers, and data collection.
