I’m Carter Emily, a freelance book editor and KDP formatting specialist with a genuine love for reading and helping authors bring their books to life. I’ve always loved getting lost in a good book. As a reader, I naturally pay attention to the little things that make a story enjoyable, memorable, and easy to connect with. I notice when a chapter flows beautifully, when something feels unclear, when a sentence takes me out of the story, or when a powerful idea could have an even stronger impact on the reader. That perspective has become an important part of the way I work with authors. I don’t simply look at a manuscript for errors. I read it with the mindset of a genuine reader and give honest, thoughtful feedback based on the experience of moving through the book. Through my feedback and editing, I’ve helped authors identify confusing sections, strengthen their ideas, improve flow and readability, address inconsistencies, and make their books more engaging for their intended audience. I also understand how personal it can be to share a manuscript with someone else. Your book represents your ideas, experiences, creativity, and countless hours of work. My goal is never to take away what makes your writing yours. Instead, I work carefully to strengthen what is already there while respecting your individual voice and personality. Alongside editing, I specialize in formatting books for Amazon KDP, including Kindle ebook and paperback editions. I pay close attention to the details that can make a finished book feel clean, professional, and comfortable to read. I’ve worked with fiction, self help, memoir, motivational books, and other nonfiction projects. Whether you need an honest reader’s perspective, thoughtful editing, or professional KDP formatting, I’m here to give your book the time, attention, and care it deserves.
