At Nova Blue Technologies, I worked as a full-stack web developer embedded directly within cross-functional teams of designers and marketing strategists, building conversion-focused WordPress websites for local businesses, independent consultants, and service based companies. My role sat at the intersection of design execution, technical development, and marketing enablement I wasn't just writing code in isolation, I was translating brand strategy and design intent into fast, functional, lead generating websites. Most projects started with a handoff from the design team, sometimes a Figma or XD file, sometimes a rougher wireframe, and my job was to turn that into a fully responsive, production ready WordPress site. I worked primarily within Elementor. I customized Elementor templates at a granular level adjusting styles, building reusable component libraries, and writing custom CSS where Elementor's native controls fell short of matching the design. This mattered a lot for client trust, seeing their brand online for the first time, pixel level accuracy between the approved design and the live site was non-negotiable. I also worked closely with marketing team members throughout the build process, not just at the end. That meant iterating on layout and copy placement button positioning, form placement above the fold, trust signals (testimonials, certifications, service area info) placed where local service businesses needed them most. A large part of my work involved building dedicated landing pages separate from the main site pages designed for specific ad campaigns, service offerings, or lead magnets. These had to perform well on mobile first. I built these pages mobile-first in Elementor, testing breakpoints manually across tablet and mobile viewports rather than relying purely on Elementor's default responsive behavior.

Vision Marketing • Parttime
Jun 2023 - Nov 2023 • 5 mos
At Visionary Marketing Group, I worked as a full stack web developer building modern WordPress websites and landing pages specifically designed to support digital marketing campaigns. Unlike general purpose website builds, this work was tightly connected to paid and organic marketing efforts, every site and landing page I built had to serve a campaign goal, whether capturing leads from a paid ad, converting organic search traffic, or supporting an email marketing push and that shaped almost every technical decision I made. Building for Marketing Campaigns, Not Just for Launch. A key difference in this role compared to standalone web development was that sites and landing pages weren't "one and done" — they were built to support ongoing, iterative marketing campaigns. That meant designing with flexibility in mind: modular sections that marketing teams could reorder or swap, landing pages built to be duplicated and adapted quickly for new campaign variants, and layouts structured so that A/B testing different headlines, CTAs, or hero sections didn't require rebuilding the page from scratch. While I used Elementor as the core page builder, much of the work went beyond dragging in default widgets. I customized Elementor widgets to match specific campaign design requirements, adjusting widget level CSS, building custom widget styles for recurring campaign elements (like countdown timers, testimonial carousels, and multi-step forms), and ensuring these customizations stayed consistent A major part of my role involved technical SEO work aimed at improving organic search visibility the kind of foundational SEO work that supports paid campaigns rather than replace them, including; Structured data (schema markup), XML sitemaps, Metadata optimization. Working at Visionary Marketing Group gave me a deeper understanding of how web development and digital marketing actually intersect in practice
