Zeevonet is a full-stack web application I built to solve a real problem in my hometown of Buea, Cameroon: skilled workers and service providers had no easy way to be found, and residents had no simple platform to find local jobs or services. Zeevonet connects the two — a local marketplace where users can list their skills, find work, or find help, all in one place. What I focused on: Since this platform's priority was function over flash, I concentrated on the backend — building solid user authentication, secure data handling (including password hashing and protection against common vulnerabilities like XSS), and giving users control over what parts of their profile and information are visible to the public. I also focused heavily on the logic layer — how data flows between the server and browser — to keep the app fast, reduce redundancy, and make interactions feel smooth even as I continued refining features and fixing gaps I found along the way. What this project strengthened: Building Zeevonet deepened my skills in full-stack architecture, user authentication systems, application security, and writing clean, maintainable backend logic — the kind of foundation that makes any web application reliable, not just good-looking.
