As a Beta Reader at Ethnolink, I review manuscripts and provide detailed, constructive feedback to help authors improve their stories before publication. My responsibilities include: - Reading and evaluating fiction manuscripts across different genres. - Assessing plot development, pacing, character development, dialogue, and overall story flow. - Identifying inconsistencies, confusing sections, weak story elements, and areas that may affect the reader’s experience. - Providing clear and constructive feedback from the perspective of the target reader. - Highlighting strengths within a manuscript while suggesting practical areas for improvement. - Reviewing the overall readability, engagement, and emotional impact of a story. - Preparing organized beta-reading reports with actionable feedback for authors and editors. - Working with deadlines and maintaining confidentiality when handling unpublished manuscripts. Through this role, I help authors identify potential issues in their manuscripts and gain a clearer understanding of how their work may be received by readers.
