Every RPG Character started somewhere. They neither manifested in the tavern where they met their party with no memory of their past nor sprang forth fully formed as a highly elite assassin who is, for some reason, starting at level one.
I want to help your next character have a backstory with flexibility for almost any game or setting. It will give your character tangible hopes, dreams, fears, contacts, and a history you can interact with. It will give your DM enough material to tie you directly into their story, but not so much you become the complete story.
Work with me to have a character backstory behind "I'm an orphan that never learned a single thing." If you want tragedy, I can give you tragedy without killing off every person who's ever known or loved you. If you want a happy history, I can do that and still give you a motivation to be an adventurer.
Give me as much or as little information as you want, and we'll work together to give you a character for you to enjoy for sessions to come.

How much lore do you know?
That depends on the setting. If you're asking about Faerun, I know a lot. I've read almost all of the Forgotten Realms books, and I'm working on the rest. I subscribe to Ed Greenwood. I know the FR Wiki very well, and have access to almost every lore source book. I know the most about drow lore.
Will a human write this?
Yes, I am 100% flesh and blood human. I respect our robot overlords, but I'm going to write your backstory with my own fingers. You're not going to get AI generated slop here. Promise.
