I built a working WhatsApp support bot from scratch to learn every step of a real setup. I created a Meta developer app, generated access tokens, and connected a WhatsApp Cloud API test number. I linked the webhook to an n8n workflow that receives messages and sends automatic replies, then created and submitted message templates for approval. To prepare for real client problems, I triggered common failures on purpose, including expired tokens, rejected templates, and webhook errors, and documented how to fix each one.
