Fire & Life Safety Design Engineer responsible for the engineering, design, calculation, documentation, coordination, and technical review of comprehensive Fire Protection and Life Safety systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Experienced in developing code-compliant designs in accordance with NFPA Standards, Saudi Building Code (SBC), HCIS requirements, Civil Defense requirements, project specifications, and applicable international standards. Responsible for Fire Fighting System design, including automatic sprinkler systems, hydrant and hose reel systems, standpipe systems, fire water networks, fire pump systems, fire pump rooms, fire water storage tanks, and associated valves, fittings, and piping. Perform hydraulic calculations using NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 15, NFPA 20, NFPA 22, and NFPA 24, including remote area analysis, sprinkler demand, hose stream allowance, friction loss, flow and pressure requirements, pump selection, and water storage capacity. Develop Fire Alarm and Detection System designs in accordance with NFPA 72, including addressable fire alarm layouts, smoke and heat detector selection, manual call points, notification appliances, fire alarm control panels (FACP), input/output modules, zoning, device address lists, riser diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, battery calculations, voltage-drop calculations, and interface requirements with other building systems. Design and review special hazard and clean-agent fire suppression systems in accordance with applicable NFPA standards, including system zoning, agent discharge requirements, protected area evaluation, piping layouts, detection and releasing arrangements, and sequence of operation. Prepare emergency evacuation plans, means of egress layouts, exit routes, occupant safety provisions, and life safety documentation in accordance with NFPA 101 and applicable SBC requirements.
