3D Character Artist & Avatar Rigger

VR Expert • Fulltime

May 2020 - Present • 6 yrs 5 mos

Freelance 3D character artist specializing in custom avatar creation, rigging, and cross-platform porting for the VTuber, VRChat, and streaming communities. Model, texture, and rig original MikuMikuDance (MMD) characters for use in SFM, GMod, TF2, and FNAF style content, ensuring clean bone structures and physics-ready builds. Design and edit VRChat avatar wardrobes including dresses, jackets, streetwear, and accessory sets optimized for both PC (Quality-rated) and Quest (mobile-performance) platforms, balancing visual fidelity with polygon/material limits. Convert and optimize VRoid and VRChat avatars for use in Warudo and VSeeFace, setting up full ARKit-based facial tracking, accurate viseme blend shapes for lip sync, and dynamic bone/spring physics for natural hair and clothing movement. Specialize in original furry, fursona, and kemono avatar design, sculpting custom species features, fur shading, and expressive face rigs suited for VRChat, Warudo, and VSeeFace live-streaming setups. Work directly with clients to translate reference art or written concepts into fully functional, technically clean avatars managing the full pipeline from concept sketch to final rigged export. Delivered 150+ completed avatar and clothing commissions with a consistent 5-star client satisfaction record, specializing in fast turnaround without compromising rig quality or shader accuracy.
