Which AI model should I use: Claude, OpenAI, Ollama, or Kimi K2.5?
Claude API gives the best reasoning. Ollama is free with no monthly cost. Kimi K2.5 via OpenRouter is free and very powerful. I configure the best model for your budget and use case or set up all three with ClawRouter.
What can OpenClaw actually do for me once it is set up?
OpenClaw manages your emails, calendar, reminders, web search, GitHub, Notion, files, and more, all via WhatsApp or Telegram messages. It also proactively reminds you, summarises your day, and takes actions without being asked.
What happens if my Mac Mini or VPS restarts, does OpenClaw stop?
No. I set up a launchd daemon on Mac Mini and systemd service on Linux VPS so OpenClaw restarts automatically on every reboot. Your AI agent is always back online within 30 seconds of the server starting up.
Does OpenClaw remember our past conversations?
Yes. OpenClaw has persistent memory, it remembers your preferences, tasks, and past conversations across all platforms. Whether you message on WhatsApp or Telegram, it always knows who you are and what you discussed.
