Will my website look the same after migration?
Yes. The purpose of migration is to transfer the existing website rather than redesign it.
Can you move my site to another hosting company?
Yes. This is the primary purpose of the Gig.
Can you change the website domain too?
Yes. Domain changes can be handled where required. Please mention this before ordering.
Is SSL included?
SSL setup is included in Standard and Premium where the selected hosting provider supports SSL.
Do you migrate email accounts?
Email mailbox migrations are not included by default because the process varies significantly between providers. Contact me for a custom quote.
Will my website experience downtime during the migration?
I aim to keep downtime as low as possible. In many standard migrations, the website can remain available on the existing hosting while the new copy is prepared and tested. Some brief disruption may occur when the domain or DNS is switched to the new hosting.
How long will my website be offline?
For most straightforward migrations, there may be little or no noticeable downtime. DNS changes can take time to update across different networks, so some visitors may briefly see the old hosting while others see the new one.
Will you test the website before switching it to the new hosting?
Where the hosting setup allows it, I will check the migrated website before the final switch. This helps identify obvious problems before visitors are directed to the new hosting account.
