No. If your sheet metal part or weldment structure fits the parameters of the Basic, Standard, or Premium packages, you can place your order immediately. If you have an exceptionally complex assembly with hundreds of components, please message me first for a custom quote.
What information do you need to start the design?
I need a clear explanation of your mechanical requirements. Please provide hand-drawn sketches with rough dimensions, photos of similar enclosures or frames, 2D PDF blueprints, or a detailed design brief outlining the intended fabrication method.
Do you calculate bend allowances and K-factors?
Yes. As a Mechanical Engineer, I design specifically for real-world sheet metal fabrication. I apply the correct K-factors and bend deductions based on your material thickness and tooling requirements to ensure the flat pattern bends perfectly into the final 3D shape.
What file formats will I receive?
I provide native SolidWorks files (.SLDPRT, .SLDASM, .SLDDRW) and universal formats for manufacturing. Crucially for this gig, I provide accurate DXF flat patterns ready for CNC laser or plasma cutting, as well as STEP files and PDF blueprints.
Can you provide structural weldment cut lists?
Yes. For any frame or chassis design using structural profiles (tubing, angle iron, C-channel), I can generate a detailed weldment cut list table as a Gig Extra so your fabricator knows exactly how to cut the raw stock.
