Jen

Jen reviewed twenty-six thematic expressions of the characters and, at my invitation, selected three with which to make a first pass at bringing the one-panel comic strip to life. She captured the personalities and circumstances of the two principal (and only) characters perfectly.

Final images from "Jenhappiness" are exactly as I had described in our second round of messaging as the three panels were in development. Jen grasps the dry wit and use of irony in the situational dynamics, as reflected in the captions to the pieces. Outstanding artistry!

Jen's ability to render character appearance and behavior as defined by the statements and questions of one of the two central characters has encouraged me to define more and more complex situational dynamics, thereby further enriching the development of the story and the depth and diversity of the humor.

Again, Jen has captured the spirit of and evolving relationship between the characters. In one panel, I requested rendering the scene in moonlight. The result is outstanding. The illustrations help to inform my sense of where I want to take the story of the two (and only) characters in the cartoon strip.

Jen is a gem. She has such a wonderful, whimsical style in her black and white artwork, just what I was looking for. She was very patient with revisions and performed admirably in a very timely manner. Will use her again and highly recommend her artistic abilities.
