Author
Jan 2021 - Present • 5 yrs 9 mos
Fiction writer currently working on my second novel, with experience drafting, revising, and incorporating beta and editorial feedback. I understand the vulnerability of sharing early drafts and the importance of constructive, respectful critique. My writing background allows me to evaluate manuscripts from both a creative and structural perspective, with a focus on plot development, character arcs, pacing, emotional impact, and overall story cohesion.
Digital Content Creator
Dec 2014 - Present • 11 yrs 10 mos
Digital content creator with 8+ million followers across YouTube and TikTok, creating narrative-driven content including storytimes, documentary-style videos, and vlogs. I regularly script, outline, and refine stories to improve clarity and flow, which naturally carries over into my beta reading. I approach manuscripts as both a reader and storyteller, focusing on plot, pacing, character development, and overall readability.

Jessii was, once again, a pleasure to work with; she managed to complete the job (a big job, wordcount of over 250k) well in advance of her own deadline, and what was sent to me was thorough and done to a high quality. Her reader report was top quality: A++. She fully understood the book, had engaged...

Working with Jessii has honestly been such a positive and genuinely helpful experience. From the first conversation, she has been kind and professional. I requested Jessii review the first 50% of my first draft. The order was received quickly and was above and beyond what I expected and I am so happy I made the decision to reach out.

Very timely, lots of helpful comments, and feedback that was critical was presented in a kind and constructive way so I didn't have to feel defensive, which is something I was nervous about for my first time using a beta reader. Jessii did a great job, and I will absolutely use her again for my future novels!

Jessi is amazing to work with! I was utterly impressed that she returned my book nine days early and even more impressed with her very thoughtful and detailed three page report and in-line comments. Her review and suggestions make a lot of sense to me. You can't go wrong working with her.

I asked her to compare two versions of the first few chapters of my book. I was already leaning one way, and she validated what I already felt. I feel like she really understood the assignment, in terms of characters and story. Super fast turnaround also! I will definitely reach back out to her to review the complete novel when I am ready. Many thanks!
