Hi! I'm José, a concert pianist, composer and piano teacher. I have a B.A. in Piano Performance and almost fourteen years of experience giving solo recitals and concerts with orchestra. Over the past eight years I have also gained much experience giving lessons and helping students of all levels and backgrounds.

My teaching approach emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of music, from essential elements such as music theory, piano technique, efficient practice methods, score-reading, ear-training, to performance preparation, comprehension of harmony, melody, counterpoint, rhythm, form, and tools for music composition.
