What do you need from me before you start my Squarespace website design?
Your Squarespace login or site link, the pages you want, your logo, brand colours, text and images, plus a reference site you like. If your content isn't ready, I can build with placeholders and swap it in later - just tell me upfront so I plan for it.
Can you fix a Squarespace redesign another developer left half-finished?
Yes. I'll review the site first and tell you honestly whether a cleanup or a full rebuild costs you less. If the layout is fighting the template, rebuilding is usually faster than untangling it. I'll tell you which one your site needs before you order.
What isn't included - do I have to supply my own copy and photos?
I handle design, build and layout. Copywriting, logo design and paid stock photos aren't included by default. I can work with free stock and placeholder text, and if you want written content or a logo, tell me and I'll scope it into the right package.
Does your price cover the Squarespace subscription and domain as well?
No - my fee covers the design and build only. Squarespace bills you separately for the plan and domain, and the site can't go live without a paid plan. I'll tell you which plan your features actually need so you don't overpay or get blocked later.
I want custom code and animations - will that work on my current plan?
Custom CSS works on most plans, but code injection needs a Business-level plan or higher. If you're on Personal, I'll either build the effect natively or tell you an upgrade is needed before we start, rather than discovering it halfway through the build.
Once it's finished, is the site fully mine and off your account?
Yes. I transfer full site ownership to your Squarespace account at handover. Billing details, domains and any Google Workspace subscription don't move automatically, so I'll walk you through updating them - nothing renews on the wrong card afterwards.
How long does a full Squarespace website development project take?
A landing page is usually a few days; a multi-page business site typically runs about 5-10 days. The most common delay is waiting on your content and feedback. Send everything upfront and I'll hold the delivery time set in the package you choose.
What if I don't like the first draft - how do revisions work?
Every package includes revisions, and I'd rather adjust than have you settle. They cover layout, colours, fonts and section changes. New pages or features outside the agreed scope are an add-on, which I'll always quote and confirm with you before building.
What actually changes between your Basic and higher packages?
Basic covers a compact Squarespace website design - a landing page or a few pages. Standard adds more pages, forms, bookings and basic SEO setup. Premium covers ecommerce, product uploads and custom code. Same care in each; the scope is what grows.
Can you move my WordPress or Wix site over to Squarespace later?
Yes - I rebuild WordPress, Wix and Shopify sites on Squarespace and keep your page structure and SEO intact. I also handle 7.0 to 7.1 rebuilds, where content doesn't carry over on its own. Mention it before ordering so I can size the job properly.
