Are you looking to learn European Portuguese, either from scratch or in order to develop your existing skills? Have you wanted to learn for a while, but you don't know where to start? Have you tried using books, apps, group classes, and nothing has worked for you? Is it difficult to stay motivated? Is it difficult to catch your own mistakes?
Olá! My name is Catarina and Im a Portuguese teacher. I've taught people of every age demographic, as well as from several cultures.
My main objective is to get you to use your new language as much as possible. Become acquainted with it. The single best way to get comfortable with a new language is to practice it over and over and over again. Even if your main problem is grammar, its by using it more and more in a natural context that it will stop being a problem for you. Practice and exposure are key.
Language learning can be an epic journey, and I hope you come take it with me!

Not at all! I work with complete beginners and help you build your knowledge step by step.

Just a stable internet connection! I provide all materials, such as worksheets, audio files, and practice exercises.

For beginners, I use English to explain concepts. As you progress, I’ll incorporate more Portuguese to immerse you in the language.
Can you help with Portuguese exams?
Yes, I can help you prepare for exams like CIPLE or DEPLE, focusing on the skills and strategies needed to succeed.
How quickly can I expect to improve?
Progress depends on your effort, motivation, ability and practice, but many students notice significant improvement within a few weeks of consistent lessons.

Absolutely! I design lessons to fit your schedule and provide efficient, focused learning to make the most of your time.
