Over deze dienst
Jungle-themed drum consultation / lesson
Let me share 35 years of drum experience with you and help you improve your playing.
I specialise in jungle and drum & bass drumming. translating electronic breakbeats to
acoustic kit, understanding sampled-break feel, and developing the techniques needed to play these grooves cleanly at speed.
I can help with:
- Breaking down beats you're struggling to map out
- Isolating the hard parts of a groove so you can focus on what's holding you back
- Slowing down complex patterns and demonstrating them so you can play along
- Concepts and techniques for anyone struggling with advanced breakbeats
- Exercises for developing speed, smoothness, stamina & dynamics
- How I approach learning new material quickly
- Getting material to play along with
- General tips on sounding good: tuning, micing, setup, etc...
Zoom + Youtube setup, so you'll get a high def, 60fps feed of my drumkit through YT. and will be able to talk to me directly through Zoom.

Originally a metal drummer, I moved into jungle about ten years ago and have been focused on that ever since.
I’m active on YouTube, regularly posting live drum performances over jungle and DnB tracks with the original drums removed. After working through a huge range of tunes and patterns, I’ve built a solid understanding of how this style is put together
I’m offering drum consultation for anyone who wants help understanding jungle/DnB grooves, improving technique, breaking down specific beats, or getting clear direction on where to focus their practice.
Veelgestelde vragen
What timezone do you cater to?
I'm UK based but able to play as late as I want, and being something of a nightowl, this means I can also manage some US times
Do I need anything?
A drumkit, some sticks and a way to join a meeting and view a Youtube stream - phone might be doable but computer should be easier
How will this work?
I have a livestream of my kit with HD sound and 60fps to help you see what I'm doing. We can talk in a Zoom or Meet online meeting and discuss anything you want to focus on. At the end I can make the stream available to download so you can refer back later.
