I knew from the outset that my request was a little unusual in tone and additionally had to straddle two very different styles (a character design that is very anime-styled in a more harsh, realistic setting), but they handled my request excellently....

They were very polite and this being my first ever time commissioning someone, very helpful. I wasn't a hundred percent sure as to what I desired, all I really did was toss ideas. Kart Studios was very patient with me and my questions, and this was overall a very pleasant experience. I intend on returning for another commission sometime in the future.
