One major challenge at Camuyoga was low email engagement despite having a decent-sized list—open rates were inconsistent and conversions were almost nonexistent. The issue came down to poor segmentation and generic messaging. I tackled this by restructuring the entire email system—segmenting the audience based on behavior, creating targeted flows (welcome, abandoned, re-engagement), and rewriting the copy to match each audience stage. I also optimized send times and subject lines through A/B testing. Within a few weeks, engagement improved significantly, and the email channel started generating consistent bookings and revenue instead of just sending broadcasts.
