Het proces: het is belangrijk om vóór de opname te praten om te begrijpen wat je wilt: het geluid kiezen, de preproductie nabootsen of nieuwe onderdelen creëren. Snel en soepel = klus geklaard!
Pakketten zijn gebaseerd op de speelduur. Ik lever de losse bestanden van de gekozen drumtake (12 of meer microfoons: 3 op de kick, 2 op de snare, hat, tom, floor, overheads, ride, stereo room).
Tracks worden op tijd geleverd, gecontroleerd op fase en zijn klaar om gemixt te worden: professionele editing, een stereomix van de drums, drumselecties en video's zijn beschikbaar als extra's!

Wat is uw 'belofte' aan uw klanten?
Drummen is mijn leven, ik kan niets doen waar ik niet trots op ben. Dat betekent dat elk werk goed moet zijn, geen snelle shortcuts of keuzes, elke stap van het opnameproces is zeer nauwkeurig: het kiezen van geluiden, stemmen, grooves en fills kiezen, alternatieven uitproberen... dit is een kunstvorm!
Aan welk soort muziek werk je meestal?
Pop, rock, indie, jazz, hedendaags, electro, soundtracks. Ik heb zoveel muziek gespeeld in mijn leven! Het is belangrijk om het verschil te begrijpen tussen een werkende muzikant die alleen covers, commerciële bands of tv-programma's speelt, en een artiest die ook originele muziek speelt en in staat is om nieuwe nummers te creëren.
Kunt u het meest voorkomende type klant beschrijven?
Klanten zijn amateurs en professionals: songwriters die hun nummers zelf produceren; producers die albums maken voor artiesten met platenlabels; allerlei soorten muzikanten voor hun instrumentale projecten/albums; componisten voor soundtracks, muziek voor productreclame of muziekbibliotheken. Wat is uw typische werkproces?
1: luisteren naar de muziek + praten met de klant 2: opnemen wat er vooraf geproduceerd is en, indien gevraagd, ook andere ideeën opnemen, geluiden en aanpak veranderen 3: één of meer previews sturen om de juiste opname te vinden of een revisie uit te voeren 4: het eindproduct afleveren = wav-bestanden van elke microfoon (+ extra's)
Wat breng je mee naar een liedje?
Ik denk dat ik mijn muzikale identiteit en taal heb, maar ik speel alleen voor het nummer. Als ik opneem, voeg ik altijd een beetje spontaan, willekeurig en instinctief spel toe, omdat ik niet alleen maar een sessiemuzikant ben. Nadat ik alles heb teruggeluisterd, kies ik alleen wat ik denk dat bij het nummer en het idee van de klant past.
Waarom zouden mensen jou voor deze baan moeten inhuren?
Ik heb veel ervaring in vele stijlen. Mijn opname-setup is van topklasse, dus ik kan snel elke situatie oplossen: is alles al gepland? Oké, doe het. Heb je hulp nodig om te begrijpen wat je wilt? Vind het bij elkaar, geen ideeën voor drums? Ik ga het creëren. Dit is werk, maar ik zet er altijd alles in.
