All I need from you is:
- Your guide recording (mp3/wave etc)
- BPM (or if you have one, a tempo map.)
- Directions - sound/style reference tracks
Here's what I am offering:
- 24 Bit 48 kHz 16 channel drum recording
- Tracking with MOTU 896/8PRE to disk
- File prep and rendering in DAW
Mic placements provide optimal capture with minimal signal bleed, levels are balanced and the polarity and phase relationships are coherent. You get a full, broadcast quality sound with no issues.
I use Sennheiser, Shure, AKG and Rode microphones. I play Sonor, Premier and Pearl drums; Remo heads; Paiste and Sabian cymbals.

Hi, I’m Matt Middleton.
I'm a drummer, guitarist, songwriter and sound engineer. At college I studied recording techniques, programming, editing, sound design, music composition, arrangement, performance, technology and production. I’ve recorded and toured in the UK, Europe and travelled the world.

What genres do you play?
I can play any genre (e.g. Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Reggae, etc) except for modern Metal with lightning-fast double kick drums - but there are many others on here who cover that!
Can you mix my song for me?
Yes, I can mix and master your song for a small extra $25 fee and one additional day.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes, 3 revisions are included in the pricing. Depending on your needs it may take even more, but I wouldn't charge extra as it's important to get things right.
How long will it take you to record/deliver my track?
I've given it 3 days in the packages as you can see, but it can be quicker; possibly even the same day but it really depends on your song and time zone - here I am in CET (UTC+01.00.)
What's the difference between Mix Stems and Multi-tracks?
Mix stems are mono and stereo track sub-mixes, e.g. 2 x mono: kick/snare and 3 x stereo: toms/overheads/room. Multi-tracks means all solo 16 tracks, e.g. 12 x mono: kick in/out/sub; snare top/bottom; hi-hat; rack/floor toms; side snare; overheads front/back; room AND 2 x stereo: overheads/room.
Do you record video?
Not at the moment, but perhaps I will when I have upgraded my old cameras.
