Broad European Focus: I specialize in modern-day Germany, Poland, particularly the highly detailed Prussian Partition, as well as the Russian Partition. My expertise also strongly covers the former Austro-Hungarian Empire (Austria, Slovenia). Additionally, I conduct research in Scandinavia—while the historical patronymic surname system there poses a unique challenge, there is always a way to uncover the truth! Global Migrations: People traveled in the past just like we do today! I track the routes of Europeans who emigrated to the US and those who returned. I also use my Spanish and Portuguese to trace 19th and 20th-century emigrants to South America. Multilingual Archival Mastery: I easily navigate complex historical borders. I read old Latin entries, German handwriting (Kurrent/Sütterlin), Russian Cyrillic, and all similar Slavic languages.
