I collaborated closely with fellow choreographers and directors to help bring their creative vision for the production to life. I assisted in teaching group choreography to both elementary and high school students, many of whom had little to no prior dance experience. I helped manage formations, clearly broke down movements, and guided performers through the learning process to ensure confidence and understanding. I also encouraged individual character choices within the choreography and provided support by answering questions and clarifying any areas of confusion.

I frequently assisted in choreographing dance solos for competitions, which received awards such as DJ’s Pick and placed 3rd overall among hundreds of performers. This process involved developing choreography from a core concept and music choice that the dancer connected with, and shaping it into a performance that met competitive standards while still feeling authentic and personal. This encouraged the exploration of character, emotion, and intention within their performances, helping connection to reach deeper into the movement rather than simply executing steps. My goal was to create pieces that were not only technically strong, but meaningful and fulfilling.

Anastasia the Musical

I choreographed the entire musical, working with performers of varying ages and experience levels from elementary school students to graduating seniors. I tailored each piece of choreography to fit both the roles and individual skill levels of the cast, ensuring that everyone felt confident and capable. I focused on breaking down movements in a clear, structured way so they were easy to learn and accessible to all performers, while still maintaining a cohesive and engaging overall performance.
