In 2024 I started Mota Systems, my own software development and consulting business. Mota Systems aims to empower small and medium‑sized organisations to harness the most cutting‑edge technologies by delivering innovative software solutions and expert consulting that are accessible, practical, and built for real‑world impact. Our mission is to remove complexity, spark possibility, and help every client grow through technology that feels exciting, modern, and within reach. Some of our most successful projects: • In 2024, we were hired by a small school in Scotland to provide a project for their digital transformation. We made a plan to take them from a paper-based business to a fully digital business by using the most exciting technologies available in the market. We started by creating an education system so that all their data was stored in a robust relational database. Then we moved to more advanced technologies to make their work more efficient. We created automations to do all their repetitive work, saving their employees huge amounts of hours that now can be used for more valuable tasks. Then we started guiding them through a very exciting AI path, by integrating AI into their everyday tasks. For the education system, we created as a web application using SQL Server, .NET Core, C#, Web APIs, and Angular. For the automations, we used power platform. For AI capabilities, we used Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. • In 2025, we started an ambitious and long project to make an English training centre the first fully-automated business of its kind in the United Kingdom. The project has been a success and it continues to grow to all areas of the business. Using Power Platform as its main technology, this project will save the company millions of pounds (GBP) in the next few years.
Business Consulting Manager / Low-Code Leader

In 2023 I decided to take a new challenge at Capita (United Kingdom), leading their low-code development team. This role was composed of: 50% as Manager, 40% as Tech Lead / Lead Developer, and 10% mentoring young developers. As a Certified ScrumMaster I took the responsibility to ensure we worked in an Agile fashion using SCRUM as our project management methodology. I also made sure most software engineering best practices were followed, such as: SOLID, META, Clean Code, Code Reviews, etc. I promoted Capita's low-code development team and led the development of solutions for public sector clients, including Norwich City Council, Cambridge City Council, North Northamptonshire Council, West Northamptonshire Council, and others. Our team provided solutions built using different low-code technologies, such as: OutSystems, Power Platform, UiPath, etc. Some of the main projects: • In 2023, I managed and led a development team of 3 developers to create a React Web Application that would work as a Single Pane of Glass with connectivity with several government systems. This web application used heavy BPT (Business Process Technology) behind the scenes to orchestrate a series of processes to be handled by robotic automations created in UiPath. • In 2024, I worked with Norwich City Council to migrate them from a shared Cloud infrastructure to a new independent Cloud infrastructure. This involved a lot of project management work, dealing with multiple councils and teams to make sure there wouldn't be any disruption in their services. It also required a deep knowledge of Cloud infrastructure setup, safely moving applications and data from one cloud infrastructure to another, as well as setting up Internal Networks, VPNs, etc.

I was invited to lead a new team for RPA development at Charles River Labs, which resulted in a Value Award one year later. We created everything from scratch, servers, environments, agile team agreement, definition of ready and definition of done, and successfully released Charles River's first professional automation using UiPath. As a Certified ScrumMaster I took the responsibility to ensure we worked in an Agile fashion using SCRUM as our project management methodology. I also made sure we created high-quality automations by following most software engineering best practices, such as: SOLID, META, Clean Code, Code Reviews, etc. By the end of my time leading this team, we had streamlined several processes and built several automations that were crucial for the business operations world-wide. During that time we were able to generate tens of millions of dollars in savings for the business. Some of the main projects: • In 2021, I managed and led a development team of 3 UiPath developers to create a UiPath automation to get invoices created in SAP and submit them to the respective clients via the invoicing portal of their choice. This project saved the company thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars per year. • In 2022, I managed and led a development team of 3 UiPath developers to create a UiPath automation to load study data into the Provantis system. This project saved the company thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars per year.
