Maintaining organized financial records helps the company monitor its income, expenses, and overall financial performance. Bookkeeping tasks may also include maintaining the general ledger, updating financial spreadsheets, and ensuring that all invoices and receipts are correctly documented. Attention to detail is essential to prevent errors and maintain accurate records. Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounts Receivable involves managing the money owed to the business by its customers. This includes preparing and issuing invoices, recording incoming payments, and monitoring outstanding balances. A bookkeeping professional ensures that invoices are sent on time and that customer accounts are properly maintained. Another key part of AR is following up on overdue invoices and communicating with customers regarding outstanding payments. Maintaining accurate AR records helps improve cash flow and ensures the company receives payments in a timely manner.
