I am a barrister of Lincoln's Inn and Managing Partner of Khan Law. I advise founders, in house counsel and investors on how financial and platform regulation applies to their business, and on what to do about it. Clients come to me when an advertising platform, bank or exchange questions their model, when the treatment of a token is unclear, or when a regulator expects a compliance framework that works in practice. I assess the position under each relevant regime, advise on the realistic options, and set out the reasoning in a written opinion. Where a licence is required, I say so plainly.
