In the summer of 2023, after my first year at FAST, I did a remote internship at Nodebook, working across AI, data and software. It ran alongside their AI with Data Science program, where I finished in the first batch with an A grade. Most of my work was on the data side. I scraped and collected raw data, then cleaned and restructured it so it was usable for analysis. From there I did exploratory analysis and visualization in pandas and matplotlib, and built statistical and machine learning models with scikit learn and TensorFlow for client use cases. The main thing I took from it was how much of real ML work is the data pipeline, not the model. Getting messy scraped data into a clean, consistent shape took more effort than training, and it shaped how I approach projects now, including the data pipelines in my later work.
