I am a software engineer. I write the documents software teams need and nobody wants to write: requirements specifications, API references, user manuals, runbooks. And I automate the spreadsheet work that quietly eats a day every week.
I have written specifications as the client who had to live with them, and read documentation at 3am because something broke. So I ask the awkward questions before writing, run every API example before delivery, and tell you when a job is a bad fit instead of taking the order.
