Self-producing independent artist and music producer with over a decade of experience writing, recording, producing, and releasing music internationally. I've been producing in Ableton Live for 12 years. I've independently produced and released six records under my artist name St. South: Nervous Energy EP (2016), Inure EP (2017), Get Well Soon LP (2020), BIG SADS EP (2024), SMILE NOW CRY LATER EP (2025), and Slacks Remixes EP (2025). My debut single Slacks (2014) has amassed over 51 million streams on Spotify alone. I've also provided vocals on a release by ODESZA, and been featured on releases by Yellow Straps, DOUBLE CAMP, and a three-way collaboration with HANDSOME and flowerkid. My work has been placed on US and international television including The Vampire Diaries, The Fosters, Finding Carter, UnREAL, and Neighbours. I've produced official remixes for Thelma Plum, Miki Ratsula, and HANDSOME, and was awarded the Amex Music Backers Grant in 2019 in support of my creative practice. My production career began after winning my category in the Bon Iver Stems Remix Project in 2012, which set the direction for everything that followed. I've since been recognised in further competitions including the Bose Listen For Yourself Competition (winner), and Happy Mag's Needle in the Hay Competition (finalist and runner-up across two entries). I've also project managed the full debut release campaign for an independent artist, recording, producing, and mixing their debut EP, writing their artist bio and press releases, servicing their music to streaming platforms, and securing premieres and written interviews on music blogs. Everything I put out is fully self-directed. I design my own cover art and merchandise, handle my own visual identity, and manage every aspect of my releases from concept through to delivery.
