Here is the breakdown of the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained during the graphic design internship at İşler (İşler Publishing Group): 1. Print Publishing & Cover Design Processes Spine & Dimension Calculations: Calculating book spine width and layout dimensions based on total page count and paper stock weight for test banks, textbooks, and practice exams. Pre-Press Preparation: Setting up templates in compliance with bleed, trim, and safety margins. Managing color profiles (CMYK / Pantone) and ensuring standard high-resolution outputs (300 DPI). Typography & Layout Hierarchy: Applying legibility, visual hierarchy, and precise spatial distribution to book covers and editorial content. 2. Branding & Digital Asset Creation Social Media Graphics: Designing promotional materials, story assets, and announcement banners tailored for exam prep content (such as YKS / TYT / AYT). Vector Graphics & Illustration: Refining logos, generating custom iconography, and crafting geometric or graphic background elements for book covers. 3. Client Feedback & Revision Workflows Design Revisions: Iterating on design concepts based on client feedback—such as simplifying complex geometric line work on front covers to maintain clean visual balance. Production Pipeline: Observing the complete publishing workflow from initial digital layout to final print production. 4. Professional & Technical Skills Software Proficiency: Hands-on application of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop under real-world industry standards. Time & Project Management: Meeting tight editorial deadlines, producing assets efficiently, and maintaining team workflow discipline.
