Created platform to automate industrial inspections using drones and autonomous ground robots (e.g. Boston Dynamics’ Spot) • Implemented pipelining for processing and post-processing of all raw images and analyzed data • Migrated storage system from rudimentary JSON file storage to MySQL and Redis databases • Adapted platform to support alternative robotic solutions (e.g. drones) and for off-robot hosting using cloud/on-site servers • Improved execution time of several neural network models during robotic inspection missions, from ~7 seconds to milliseconds • Implemented “Drift Correction” computer vision algorithm to correct 100% of the 2.2% failure rate of robotic sensor pointing • Utilized open-source computer vision models to implement and integrate a People Detection model for our platform • Refactored dashboard to support database changes, filtering, CSV exports, multi-image thumbnails, and more features • Collaborated on-site and remotely with major corporations, such as Anheuser-Busch, GlobalFoundries, Praxair, etc. • Integrated our platform with their third-party systems (such as SAP and FabGuard) • Solved networking, configuration, and various other issues with clients’ autonomous robotic missions
