How Does Your Gig Work?
If you would like to work with me, please message me first, attaching your full manuscript in .doc or .docx. I will take a look at your manuscript and provide a price and time quote for your project. If you are happy with the quote, I will send you a custom offer that will schedule your slot.
Do You Have Time for My Order?
I always have time to take on another order, but you may have to wait a bit. I schedule all my orders, giving each one ample time to be completed correctly, aiming for quality over quantity. Contact me now with your full manuscript, and I will let you know when I can have it ready.
Will You Sign an NDA?
If you provide an NDA, I will sign it. However, I assure my clients that I will never divulge information about their book to a third party, even in a portfolio or sample.
Do You Do the Work Yourself?
Yes. I do all of the work myself. I run two types of software on your book, and then I read every single word, looking for dropped or incorrect words, missing or extraneous punctuation, correct word choice, style issues, correct sentence structure, etc. I spend approx. 5 hours per 10,000 words.
Do You Provide Formatting?
Yes, I specialize in copyediting and formatting. This means your book will be publish-ready when am done working on it. This is an all-in-one gig and will also save you from extra expenses.
What Types of Books Do You Take?
I take any type of book of 5,000 words or more. I do not take on academic papers (snooze!). The best way to see if I am a good fit for your book is to contact me and ask me any questions you may have. I look forward to it!

What Type of Editor Do I Need?
Happy with your content and ready for the final polish, this is the gig for you! Need someone to read and point out issues? A beta read is a good place to start. Have an AI-written book? Try content editing. Want someone to do the whole project from start to finish? Comprehensive editing is the one.
Do You Show Your Work/Use Track Changes?
All of the changes I make to your manuscript will be done using Track Changes in Word. You will then be able to approve or deny them as you wish. I also use the Comment feature in Word to make comments on additional things you might consider.
What Is Your Editing Style?
As a copyeditor, I feel that my job is mainly to leave your wording as is as much as possible. So I only change things if they are incorrect, vague, or awkward. I use a really light hand, so the final product is professionally polished, with your unique voice shining through.
